Your private bungalow in the Jalore Wildlife Sanctuary – True Luxury Tours safari campsite

 

For a 1 night and two day stay in the Jalore Wildlife sanctuary which includes accommodation in our private luxury appointed bungalows, located in the safari campsite in the center of the sanctuary core area, one walking safari with our head warden and guards for 3 hours in the morning to view rare and endangered Desert Fox, Gazelle, Blue-Bull Antelope, Tawny Eagle, Zird, Hanuman Langoor, and 120 species of birds (walking safaris may be beginner level, intermediate level, or advanced level trekking through savannah, scrub forest, deciduous forest, or mountains), one night safari by jeep with our wildlife warden for 2 hours to view rare and endangered nocturnal Asian Steppe Wildcat, Leopard, Jungle Cat, Eurasian Eagle Owl , Indian Porcupine, Desert Hare, Spotted Owlet and Striped Hyena, all local aristocratic meals and non-alcoholic beverages, transport to the sanctuary from Jodhpur, Rajasthan and return from the sanctuary back to Jodhpur, Rajasthan (2 hours by road).

 

$160 US Dollars plus 12.5% tax per person on a double occupancy basis

$285 US Dollars plus 12.5% tax on a single occupancy basis

$140 US Dollars plus 12.5% tax per person for groups of four persons  

1 to 2 children under the age of 10 are gratis guests with each couple
Guests over the age of 65 receive a 10% discount on package rate

 

Itinerary

 

Day 1 – Pick up at Jodhpur Airport or Train station

Drive to Jalore Wildlife Sanctuary (2 hours).

Arrival at the Jalore Wildlife Sanctuary by mid or late afternoon, (depending on arrival time in Jodhpur).

Traditional Local Aristocrat greeting followed by tea or coffee and orientation by head warden at safari campsite

Drinks and local aristocratic snacks outside in safari campsite

One hour after dark a wildlife night safari with head warden by jeep for 2 hours

Return to safari campsite for local aristocratic dinner outside

Night stay in private bungalow at safari campsite inside jungle core

Day 2 – light breakfast with tea or coffee followed by sunrise wildlife safari with head warden and guards for 3 hours in sanctuary savannah, forests and mountains (walking safaris may be beginner level, medium level, or advanced level trekking).

Return to safari campsite for brunch

Return to Jodhpur mid-day, by road, for onward journey (2 hours).

Options for the days activity include A. Stay inside hideouts (indigenous material made to camouflage) at wildlife hotspots (mammal or bird watching depending on your choice) to spend 2 hours viewing wildlife up-close. B. Visit to nearby villages to see indigenous cotton weaving and meet tribals and see and learn from their way of life. C. Relax in safari campsite and enjoy the peaceful jungle surroundings.
