Sensual khajaraho 

The Unesco world Heritage sites of Khajuraho is a magnificent example of Hindu and jain temple architecture of the 10th to 12th Centuries. The city of Kharjuravahaka (Sanskrit for; the one who holds the date palm) was built by the Chandela Rajputs as a cultural capital where is magnificent ruins and templesAs a reminder of the complex identity of a medieval India. Spread over an area of 8 square miles 25 of the original 80 temples survive in stunning condition. A great number of deities are portrayed both on and in separate temples with some temples vividly showing erotic carvings on the outside representing both deities and human figures. These erotic carvings were done to signify that all lust and sexual desire should be left outsise of the temples and only pure souls should enter.
Khajuraho is accessible by both flight and train from Delhi, Mumbai, and Calcutta and is within a 4 hour drive from Bhandavgarh, the famed jungle of tigers which makes it a perfect central Indian destination for both art and wildlife lovers.
